Club History

In the spring of 1994, Jim Hancock and Russ Bolton, both owners of Triumph TR6s and members of theToronto Triumph Club, decided to form a local club devoted to British cars. The idea was discussed with Bob Deshane, another British car enthusiast, and he agreed that such a club would be successful. Russ and Jim decided that the club would be known as the Victoria British Car Club based on the fact that it would be based in Victoria County. Information flyers were made up and distributed inviting British car owners to attend the inaugural meeting on July 6. The idea for a British car show in Lindsay was suggested by Bob DeShane and on July 30, 1995 we had our first Brits-in- the-Park. Since 1994 the club has expanded its geographic base attracting members from a much larger area. We have experienced many interesting and fun activities organized by many club members, and most of all we have had the opportunity to meet wonderful people.
