SEPTEMBER OVERNIGHTER 10/11/12TH
UPDATE
On our recent day trip to the Bloomfield area we were well received at 4
establishments. Apparently, word has circulated that the VBCC is coming !!
Confirmed so far are:
- Late lunch Friday at the "Bistro" in Wellington.
- The Fifth Town Cheese factory. (have a booth at the PTBO market)
- County Cider Company (Wines and Ciders, also great view over lake)
- Award winning winery (secret) for lunch, tour and tasting). The
manager's husband is restoring a Triumph Spitfire.
As of today there is only one room (2 Queen beds) available at
Angeline's Inn. 866-393-1408.
Also, 2 rooms available at the Nap-n-Nosh, downtown Bloomfield.
613-393-3371. (Have stayed there. Location and facilities excellent.)
Should these rooms be booked, please call Judie (705-292-7420 or email
rpaxton@persona.ca )for additional accomodation in Bloomfield currenly
being held for VBCC members. I think Judie and Jane have visited all the
B&B's locally, and have seen interesting homes and met some odd
characters.
Currently, we have 11 cars signed up for the tour and there is room for
a few more.
Please join us for a tour that will travel thru small historical
villages and towns, pass by orchards and vineyards with panoramic views
of Lake Ontario and Picton Bay. Enjoy and sample a section of Canada
that was settled by Loyalists, disbanded British and German troops in
the 1870's.
Regards
Judie/Ron, Jane/Richard
